Description

As a Staff Accountant in Payroll, you will perform various functions in order to meet internal and external customer expectations including timely and accurate closing of the accounting periods, managerial reporting, and budget preparation. Reporting and data analytics would also be done for government reporting, wage surveys, and compensation analysis.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Analyzes salary and benefit expenses in comparison to budget for management.
Reports on hours, headcount, payroll, and employment tax credits.
Assists in compensation administration such as wage surveys, compensation analysis, and ad hoc reporting for compensation committees.
General Ledger account reconciliation as it pertains to payroll, benefits, and payroll tax liability accounts.
Assists in compiling information for Total Compensation Statements for employees.
Assists in bonus and incentive plan computations as well as the payroll budgeting process.
Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Excellent organization, communication, and planning skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Access programs.
YOU MAY ALSO HAVE
Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or compensation/data analysis.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
ROLE SPECIFICS
Salary: $55,633 to $83,449 Annually, plus bonus opportunity
Travel: Occasional overnight travel required. Must have ability to independently travel as needed, without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train for customer/vendor calls, training, or meetings.
