We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Proofreader with our client in Chicago, Illinoi!. This will be a part-time remote opportunity!
Responsibilities:
+ Proofread and edit long form and short form content to ensure accuracy and readability.
+ Examine brochures, presentations, and proposals for grammatical, typographical, or stylistic errors.
+ Provide constructive editorial feedback to non-traditional writers to improve their writing skills.
+ Use your proofreading and copyediting skills to enhance the quality of our written content.
+ Utilize your proposal writing skills to ensure our proposals are clear, concise, and compelling.
+ Apply your rewriting and editing skills to revise and improve existing content.
+ Exhibit strong writing skills to produce high-quality content when necessary.
+ Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure all content is error-free.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in our written materials.
+ Work efficiently to meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments at once.
Requirements+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Proofreader role or similar capacity.
+ Proficient in proofreading and copyediting.
+ Experience in proposal writing, rewriting, editing, and other forms of writing.
+ Strong writing skills with an impeccable grasp of English grammar and syntax.
+ Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in text.
+ Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
+ Proficient in using various proofreading tools and software.
+ Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field, preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
