Summary This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. Responsibilities As a SENIOR STRATEGIC PLANNER at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serve as the Senior Strategic Planner for USTRANSCOM GPM. Serve as Senior technical Advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME): Direct, provide oversight, and oversee all GPM planning activities to prepare the command and the Joint Force to execute the GPM mission amidst transregional, all domain, multi-functional crises and contingencies against competitors and adversaries with synchronized, integrated, and direct lethal operations and non-lethal elements of power with increasingly accelerated sophistication. TCSG Director of Staff: Formulate plans and provide managerial expertise regarding all aspects of TCSG operations throughout the command and supports all assigned programs. Develop viable programmatic options for satisfying the command’s changing requirements. Continuously reviews and recommends revisions to the SGs policies and standard operating procedures Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities over administrative staff. Advise and provide counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Select or recommend selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignment in consideration of skills, qualifications, and mission requirements. Develop, modify, and/or interpret performance standards. Explain performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. Hold employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Appraise subordinate workers performance ensuring consistency and equity in rating techniques. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Provide expert level guidance in the development and management of long-range strategic planning to manage, and implement complex projects, studies, agreements and development for Global Patient Movement (GPM) resources, planning and technologies. Review legislation, policy and doctrine and advise an Agency and Component Command on the structure and organization of the GPM Enterprise. Provide senior technical advice on the development and execution of GPM with emphasis on Aeromedical Evacuation (AE) and En Route Patient Care system. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Education Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
