Job Description

As our Physician Advisor , you will help our client facilities navigate the path to compliant revenue by reviewing Level of Care cases. Every day you will review cases concurrently at the time of presentation to ensure a compliant level of care, which increases compliance and reduces the risk of exposure to denials. You will also author admission status recommendations. To thrive in this role, you must have strong clinical knowledge across multiple clinical areas and be capable of working independently with a high level of performance in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment. Proficiency in basic computer skills is essential for excelling in this remote position.
Here’s what you will experience working as a Physician Advisor:
+ Addresses the following issues: compliance and level of care.
+ Review and respond to the customers in a timely manner; usually within 1-2 hours of the submission to the queue.
+ Actively engage with attending physicians to discuss appropriate status as supported by documentation.
+ Make phone contact with the utilization review team and/or case managers at client hospitals regarding submitted case determinations.
+ Provide written analysis of the case and perform case reviews across multiple specialties.
+ Maintain a regular part-time weekend schedule.
Required Skills:
+ Active, unrestricted MD or DO medical licensure
+ 3+ years of clinical experience post-residency completion
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $152,474.00 – $190,592.00 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
