Job Description

As Associate Engagement Specialist, you play an integral role in the ongoing pursuit of excellence at Plastipaks Champaign, IL facilities. You will interact and build relationships with Associates in our Champaign sites to help facilitate a positive and engaged employment experience and positively impact the work environment to attract and retain talented professionals. The Associate Engagement Specialistwill build experiences in the workplace to ensure Associates feel appreciated and valued, pride in their purpose, part of the community, and supported at every phase of their employment.

 

You Will

 

1. Coordinate, lead, and implement Employee Engagement initiatives, projects, and activities.

2. Proactively communicate with Associates.
3. Provide tools for leaders to ensure healthy communication with Associates.
4. Use data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of associate experience programs and provide recommendations to improve future strategies
5. Own the new hire onboarding experience, ensuring we have a program that excites our new associates, sets them up for success, helps them thrive and continuously grow within the company.
6. Communicate professional pathways to associates through focused conversations and discuss internal training opportunities.
7. Work closely with associates, technical trainers and mentors to ensure technical needs are met and associates are progressing through their technical training criteria.

8. Utilize Health Checks to assess Associate experience to facilitate action or coaching.
9. Partner with Site Leadership and Talent Manager to identify, design, and implement processes and programs that aligns with the overall Site engagement strategy.
10. Develop and implement employee reward programs that recognize Associate development, performance, and achievement.
11. Recommend strategies, policies, and procedures to drive continual improvement that maintains Associate engagement and enhances their experience.
12. Continuously assess and measure Associate engagement.
13. Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
14. Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices GMP guidelines.
15. Perform work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tag out procedures.
16. Have the authority to place product on hold.

You Have

 

Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field.
3-5 years of HR experience in manufacturing or similar industry.
Ability to effectively communicate with employees with a focus on supporting their personal and professional needs.
Strong analytical abilities to accurately assess employees' needs, evaluate feedback, and translate those into actionable recommendations to improve an organization's work environment.
Strong interpersonal skills, as demonstrated in the context of the interviewing processes.

Ability to provide verifiable personal and professional references.
Ability to work closely with others in a team environment.
Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
