ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Manufacturing Operations provides strategic and operational direction for 3 Global Consumer Brands manufacturing sites and ensure that the strategic plans and business objectives are being developed and executed in the correct quality, delivery performance, and at lowest competitive cost. This role is responsible for driving execution to strategy across multiple pillars, particularly focused on safety, health, and environment. This role is a member of the NA Supply Chain Leadership Team (NASCLT) and is a key change agent within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and lead execution of manufacturing strategy across the region within scope
  • Deliver continuous Delivered Profit (DP) improvement through cost savings and systems optimization
  • Lead and develop manufacturing teams across the region
  • Ensure that world class manufacturing practices are being developed, deployed, implemented, and executed
  • Direct and lead priorities to deliver cost advantage, team capability, customer advantage and business/financial objectives
  • Oversee annual budgets in line with regional and global company's targets and continually drive cost initiatives
  • Evaluate, validate and recommend staffing needs in order to constantly provide high quality and flexible operations
  • Develop meaningful and strategic functional performance measurements and tools which enable results to be easily interpreted and understood
  • Maintain optimal communication with all cross-functional partners in order to ensure proper transfer of the information necessary to manage and achieve all departments' objectives
  • Drive key initiatives across Safety Pillars, Quality performance initiatives, and new manufacturing areas of focus.
  • Drive implementation of key systems, such as Red Zone across sites.
  • Manage and connect across HR business partners to ensure employees engagement and enrichment are supported by local initiatives driving robust improvement in GEOS scores YOY.



REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing plant leadership



PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • MBA
  • Experience in the FMCG industry
  • Strong knowledge of World Class Manufacturing Practices
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Both operational and project management approach
  • Strong commercial and business constraints awareness
  • Strategic thinking ability
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with the ability to build organizational relationship
  • Visionary thinking and used to operate in highly complex environment



JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel up to 20% within North America
  • Remote work available once a week
  • This role is eligible for domestic or international relocation
