UIC is seeking an IAM Architect/ Developer to join our Technology Solutions Identity Management team. This role is responsible for campus-wide Identity and Access Management infrastructure, which includes the maintenance and upper-tiered support of current data systems and their myriad interactions internally and externally, as well as the ongoing and continual re-architecting of all such systems to stay integrated with modern databases, authentication mechanisms, and various third-party applications. This position ensures ongoing maintenance and support of IAM functions for the UIC campus and UIC's participation in the overall University of Illinois' IAM program. This position serves as a Team Lead for all IAM department developers.

Must have access to a computer for On-call support responsibilities for the unit on evenings, holidays, and weekend hours, which are required for emergencies and to maintain service operations as needed, including during maintenance periods.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with Systems and Development teams to develop and maintain our systems.
Act as a bridge between various development teams when designing and implementing IAM solutions.
Maintain/code applications for system authentication to maintain security levels and general coding to control the interaction between all internal and external application and data repositories.
Regularly monitor systems, verifying the proper functionality of all data interactions, in real-time or scheduled, between our central repository and all other disparate systems.
Define enterprise-wide standards and policies in respect to emerging technologies and provide the control framework to ensure adherence and security.
Ensure that IAM processes adhere to security and university policies.
Assist project teams with technical issues, including technical strategy, analysis, and design.
Support operations staff in the execution, testing, and implementation of IAM related solutions.
Conduct research to enable continuing innovation in the IAM infrastructure.
Review and recommend efficient approaches to Identity and Access Management tasks.
Provide advanced support for operational functions of IAM systems.
Troubleshoot and debug environment and infrastructure problems found in production and non-production environments.
