Technical Operations/Maintenance

The Technical Operations Transformation and Process Optimization Manager will support streamlining processes and organizational change efforts concerning mobility and transformation projects across the division, including communications and training strategy and delivery.

Job overview and responsibilities

The Transformation and Process Optimization team within Tech Ops works to partner and tackle sophisticated business problems. In this position, one will work across cross-functional teams to efficiently implement Tech Ops Systems and relevant business process changes.

The manager will lead all project aspects, from metric(s) development to digital transformation of core business systems to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. In addition to projects, there is a strong focus on coaching and mentorship of CI methodologies.

+ Leading performance of base checks, daily interactions on the execution of base visits, coordination with internal stakeholder groups for near-term plans and package content improvements

+ Acting as an interface with local supplier leadership, coordinating quality, performance, and financial performance facets.

+ Develop project strategies and plans, including stakeholder assessment, communications, leadership alignment, organization transition, change readiness, capability transfer, and end-user training.

+ Provide direct support and mentor to base maintenance teams through transitions.

+ Champion and lead unified training and adoption strategies for improved tools and processes for business users.

+ Coaching project team members on their development

+ Conducting and supporting training of team members on Continuous Improvement tools and techniques in both formal and informal (just-in-time) settings

+ Working closely with business leaders throughout the project life cycle

+ Developing and managing business leader relationships at Director/MD levels

NOTE: This position is based at the CSC-Willis Tower, located in Chicago, IL., and is considered a hybrid work schedule, working on a 3-day in-office schedule that may evolve with the company’s needs.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Technology, or Business Administration

+ Completion of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training with a successful exam from a recognized institution and progress toward certification that includes a real-life project

+ 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or consulting

+ Experience in diverse (multiple business areas) continuous improvement portfolio implementation

+ 2+ years of professional work experience using statistical analysis

+ Completion of multiple cross-functional projects using Lean Six Sigma

+ Ability to apply sophisticated Lean principles or advanced Six Sigma principles to process improvement

+ Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Demonstrated leadership ability in a changing business environment

+ Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

+ Project Management experience

+ Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship for a full/part-time position

+ Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification

+ Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

+ Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with formal training and successful exam from a recognized institution, and completion of real-life project

+ 1+ years of GB and BB training experience

+ 3+ years of work experience using statistical analysis

+ 3+ years of diverse CI portfolio implementation

+ Previous airline business experience

+ 1+ years experience in people management
