Job Description

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Administrative Coordinator in the healthcare industry, specifically within hospitals and social assistance, based in Chicago, Illinois. The role primarily involves working with residents who require resources from the State of Illinois to meet their nursing home financial obligations and ensuring accurate Medicaid billing for assigned facilities.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately verify eligibility on admission documentation for new residents.

- Efficiently submit complete admission packets to Public Aid within the required timeframe.

- Regularly reconcile resident financial accounts to resolve any outstanding balances.

- Submit monthly billing statements and any unbilled claims to Public Aid.

- Conduct weekly eligibility verification for residents to ensure accurate status and payer information.

- Timely complete and return redetermination forms to ensure uninterrupted payments.

- Complete and return Social Security Rep Reports forms promptly to ensure uninterrupted resident’s income.

- Review resident cases monthly, identify and investigate any income changes, and communicate any adjustments as needed.

- Participate in monthly training to ensure competency and proficiency.

Skills required include Medicaid, Medicaid Billing, and Administrative Assistance. Requirements – Holds a degree or certification in a relevant field from an accredited institution

- Has previous experience in administrative coordination, preferably in the healthcare or social assistance sector

- Proficient in Medicaid and Medicaid Billing procedures

- Advanced skills in administrative assistance are required

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work effectively

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

- Proficient in the use of standard office software such as Microsoft Office Suite

- Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and standards is a plus

- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse team.
