As an integral part of the team and the sales distribution efforts of NYL Investments, the Institutional Sales Associate (ISA) is responsible for working with Institutional Relationship Managers (IRMs) in creating business plans and a sales strategy for developing and maintaining existing relationships, as well as identifying and acquiring new business within their territory, to meet sales goals. The ISA must understand and demonstrate a passion for sales strategy/process and investments. Additionally, they should have excellent verbal and written communications skills.

The position will require excellent organizational and follow-up skills, and the ability to prioritize, as well as execute on multiple tasks. Most critically, the ISA must demonstrate poise, professional presence, excellent presentation abilities, and have a high degree of enthusiasm for building relationships as well as a competitive drive to succeed are essential.Resilience and a willingness to go above and beyond are also crucial for this role.

What You'll Do:
Manage territory with IRMs to meet or exceed quantitative and qualitativegoals.
Develop and cultivate relationships with prospective investors through the use of both traditional mediums (i.e., calls/in person visits) as well as digital tools and innovative content sharing and engagementstrategies.
Collaborate with IRMs to develop and execute sales plans.
Articulate key features and benefits of core investment strategies while maintaining a sound global capital markets knowledge.
Perform daily territory management tasks to ensure maximum business efficiency, i.e., update and maintain CRM system.
Partner with individual boutiques in generating proposals, RFP responses and/or other information packages to support the introduction and sale of new strategies to existing or new prospective institutional investors.
Assist with the planning and overall coordination of conferences/seminars/plan participant meetings.

What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree required - Finance/Business major
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required
Previous experience and/or involvement with the institutional sales process, engagement with senior institutional allocators and investment consultants.
Strong understanding of the financial and capital markets.
Ability to build and expand relationships with a targeted list of prospects and clients.
Excellent relationship management and communication skills.
Strong presentation and organizational skills.
Proven ability to maintain a high volume of proactive outbound sales activity.
Quarterly travel within the territory and to partner conferences.
