Senior Test Engineer
Location: Cary, Illinois

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing developmental and V&V test plans for new medical device products and combination products.
- Creating and validating custom test fixtures using CAD (PTC Creo preferred) to support product evaluations.
- Managing test documentation, including test requirements, design input/output traceability, and validation records.
- Performing durability, mechanical, and electromechanical testing in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 60601).
- Applying statistical analysis and mathematical methods to analyze test data and verify results.
- Supporting both device and formulation testing projects with adaptability to diverse product needs.
- Conducting validation activities such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and ensuring test readiness.
- Collaborating with design engineers, product specialists, and manufacturing teams to optimize test processes and manufacturability.
- Utilizing programming skills (Python, C++ a plus) to automate testing and improve efficiency.
- Providing documentation and reports for regulatory compliance and internal reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required).
- 6–8 years of experience in test engineering, including developmental and V&V testing.
- Strong background in mechanical testing; electromechanical testing experience highly preferred.
- Medical device industry experience (Class I or Class II devices); combination product experience is a plus.
- Experience designing and building test fixtures.
- Proficiency in CAD (PTC Creo preferred).
- Hands-on lab experience in a regulated testing environment.
- Strong documentation and test planning skills in compliance with FDA/ISO standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 60601 standards for electromechanical device testing.
- Experience with statistical methods and analysis of test results.NO C2C CANDIDATES
