What You Will Do
  • Provide leadership and oversight for all simulation technology, IT systems, and audiovisual infrastructure supporting experiential learning in the Schools of Nursing (80%) and Pharmacy (20%).
  • Ensure reliable operation, integration, and innovation of simulation technologies, including simulator manikins, audiovisual systems, virtual/augmented reality platforms, and electronic health record systems.
  • Support delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality simulation-based education aligned with national standards (e.g., INACSL Standards of Best Practice).
  • Manage, maintain, and advance simulation technology resources requiring specialized IT and operational expertise.
  • Ensure program sustainability, accreditation alignment, and equitable access to simulation learning experiences.
  • Mitigate risks related to downtime, data breaches, and compliance gaps through specialized technical and management expertise.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, and interprofessional partners to enable evidence-based simulation practices.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Simulation, or related field (required). Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible IT or simulation technology experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments and terminology.
  • Skills in project management, budget management, and policy development.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
