CED strives to pay a competitive wage in the industry and regional market. The pay range for this position is $23.50/hr to $28.75/hr and is eligible to participate in our discretionary bonus program. JOB SUMMARY
In addition to established Bond Room Clerk responsibilities, the Sr. Bond Room Clerk holds responsibility for control and recordkeeping of Government and Customer Furnished Materials (GFM / CFM) and special materials stocking areas. In addition, this position will support general and customary activities for the Inventory, Shipping and Receiving areas.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Receive and stock all Government Furnished Materials (GFM) and Customers Furnished Materials (CFM) in their correct location
· Receive, log and report GFM and CFM data and material as per standard process
· Manage energetics inventory and conduct the necessary transactions as required
· Control non-standard inventories of non-production and spare hardware
· Following an established schedule, conduct inventory review of designated materials to validate expiration dates; remove expired materials timely from shelves and create corresponding transactions to remove from inventory levels
· Stocks general production parts as per established procedures
· Pulls parts for standard production job orders as requested
· Maintain accurate counts for production orders and supports inventory audits
· Enter inventory data accurately and timely in D365
· Handle explosive devices in compliance with CED policy and procedures
· Handle hazardous materials in compliance with CED’s HSE standards and in accordance with regulatory rules
· Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with CED’s HSE procedures, and in accordance with regulatory rules
· Performs tasks associated with preparing hazardous and / or non-hazardous waste materials for transportation as directed
· Conducts periodic cycle counts of assigned inventory areas; documents and reconciles discrepancies
· Creates requisitions for Warehouse supplies as directed
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
· Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Ensure 100% compliance with the Chemring Operational Framework and Code of Conduct
Special projects and additional duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Provides direct supervision to a variety of junior / entry level exempt employees
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of five (5) years of pertinent experience in a manufacturing or distribution warehouse environment
- Two years’ experience in inventory counting and auditing and processing transactions
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
· Lawful permanent resident of the United States (ITAR restrictions)
· Must be eligible to possess explosives under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Chemring Energetic Devices
· Extensive experience in cycle counts, inventory counts, inventory auditing, and product auditing
· High level of attention to detail and organization to ensure accurate and timely inventory transactions
· Ability to maintain forklift qualification and authorization per company policy
· Extensive experience with ERP systems, with D365 strongly preferred
· Maintain training and certifications related to hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste
· Perform all work in a manner that contributes to audit defensible (internal and external auditors) records
· Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written form across functional areas of the company
· High degree of detail and accuracy for audit, cycle counts and accurate inventory transactions
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Use of computer for extended periods of time.
