Job Description

Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, aerospace and consumer electronics. We have an opening for a Shipping/Receiving Clerk.
Job Responsibilities:
Keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments
Prepare items for shipment.
Monitor incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Verify accuracy of shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records.
Consult with management to clarify department priorities, identify problems, and suggest changes for improvement.
Determine shipping priorities and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair.
Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage and/or work areas.
Compile records of unfilled orders and posts weight and shipping charges. *Prepare required department records and reports.
Recommend measures to improve productivity, equipment performance, and quality of service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase

Job Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Thorough technical understanding of functional discipline is required, which may require advanced training or education as relevant.
Relevant experience preferred.
Computer literacy a must
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and lift cumbersome and/or heavy items.
