Job Description
To provide technical assistance to production value stream(s), including continuous improvements in EHS, quality, productivity, troubleshooting, cost reduction, and operator engagement. Value stream processes include tandem extrusion, adhesive lamination, flexographic and rotogravure printing, slitting and various auxiliary processes.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Acts as a safety leader and demonstrates by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; participating in safety programs, audits and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities. Supports all written safety programs and safety training.
Assists the manufacturing department in facilitating quality improvements in department on waste, claims and productivity deficiencies by engaging the team in root cause analysis, improvement action implementation and sustainment by utilizing the control plan.
Monitors and leads improvements in production deficiencies (crewing, run speeds and set up). Utilizes Team Champions, DMAIC and visual management system to drive improvements.
Manage the process control audit program which ensures compliance to standard work and best practices
Manage productivity improvements through the use of RCO events as well as completing Greenbelt/Kaizen projects annually focusing on projects that impact departments focus on Safety, Waste, Claim, Set-up and Productivity
Conducts periodic follow-ups, to determine that designed output, quality and procedures are being met on new or modified equipment
Drives machine center improvements through the use of the CI process as well as ensuring visual management is active and in use throughout the plant
Reviews the machine production schedules daily to identify potential operating problems or concerns and communicates this information to supervisors and/or operating personnel
Participates in incident investigations for near misses, injuries and/or property damage that occur in the functional areas
Supports continuous improvement initiatives with manufacturing and productivity data to identify project teams as well as supply project teams with data necessary to determine KPI's and loss improvement values
Drive process and productivity improvements in all production departments
Deliver machine center improvements through the use of the CI process
