JOB OVERVIEW

This position identifies primary risks capable of significantly impacting the organization’s assets or earnings. This is a professional level position working on complex projects, tasks and a variety of duties relative to insurance, risk analysis and research in support of the organization’s Risk Management objectives. Assignments performed require broad-based knowledge of risk management,

including property & casualty insurance policies/coverage, claim management, Finance and loss prevention.

JOB DUTIES

As Risk Manager, you will be responsible for:

+ Managing insurance placement process by securing, compiling and analyzing underwriting and exposure data, preparing marketing submissions and related applications, and researching market developments.

+ Securing and analyzing insurance renewal quotations.

+ Reviewing insurance policy documents and binders to verify accuracy.

+ Creating and maintaining schedules of Insurance. ?

+ Reviewing, researching, interpreting and approving risk/insurance language in customer contracts, vendor agreements, leases and other documents for frontline and corporate stakeholders.

+ Quantifying costs and explain potential exposures related to contract provisions to ensure optimal risk/return relationship.

+ Documentation includes insurance endorsements, insurance certificates, auto ID cards, state filings, etc.

+ Facilitating and project managing business contingency planning sessions, as needed, meeting with stakeholders to further and promote KONE’s readiness and response to crisis events.

+ Managing Risk Management section of intranet site.

+ Serving as primary Risk Management training resource for corporate and frontline operations.

+ Partnering with internal Risk experts and business personnel to develop impactful risk management training materials.

+ Proving consultative services to frontline on insurance coverages and general risk management matters.

+ Procuring, analyzing and presenting financial loss information to Actuaries and participate in reserve adequacy testing, loss forecasting and risk modeling processes to ensure organization’s financial statements accurately reflect risk exposure and business activities align with corporate risk appetite.

+ Leading internal Reserve Required process by procuring, analyzing, and presenting historical loss information to Finance and Auditors.

+ Reviewing, approving, and tracking insurance premiums, vendor invoices, internal charges, allocations, etc., to ensure accurate TCOR calculations and budget/forecasting. ?

+ Supporting continuous improvement of Passenger Safety Customer Centric initiatives to minimize general liability exposure.

+ Establishing relationships with key business contacts and promote integration of Passenger Safety key concepts into frontline operations.

+ Collaborating with Passenger Safety Products and Service in addition to Service Operations to assist in the identification of current risks to promote the development and distribution of pertinent internal Passenger Safety training materials.

+ Participating in Passenger Safety audit programs (Risk Mitigation Plans, Equipment and Branch Auditing.?

+ Supporting self-administered liability unit through carrier communication, report generation, data analysis and claim system data integrity reviews and updates.

+ Evaluating self-administration loss exposures and coverage analyses to determine trends that require risk treatment.

+ Acting as main resource for OCIP/CCIP enrollment inquiries from field in addition to responsibility for OCIP/CCIP training of sales professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

+ ??Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience; ARM, CPCU or other Risk Management designations a plus

+ 3 to ??5+ years of previous insurance, claims management, risk management or other applicable work experience.

Competencies: ??Knowledge of insurance coverage, insurance procurement process, liability claims and contracts. Strong data analysis skills. Ability to cost-effectively manage external resources. Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. Ability to create and interpret financial reports. Working knowledge of various risk management processes and procedures. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with business associates and KONE personnel. Ability to work on and occasionally lead cross-functional project teams. Strategic thinking, conflict resolution, negotiation, team building, and training skills are necessary. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to prioritize projects and work under extreme pressure of deadlines. Ability to work with limited supervision. Risk Management Information System familiarity.
