Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to lead and manage one or many large, complex programs or a portfolio of related programs or projects. The primary responsibility of this position is focused in the areas of operations improvement organizational design and change management. The primary goal is to partner with CBRE departments to drive impactful business results that change the top and bottom line.

Partners with leaders and end-customers to identify and deliver savings opportunities across all functions and activities. Organizes and engages functional leaders in support of identifying and implementing tangible cost savings and operational improvement strategies. Effectively partners with senior operations leaders on understanding the impact, effectively communicating and managing the change associated with implementing the operational improvement actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides strategic and tactical guidance on where savings can be generated. As appropriate, directly leads and delivers savings through projects and operational improvements.

Provides a strong day-to-day leadership presence for projects, practicing a culture of servant leadership.

Leads cross-functional projects and programs end-to-end. Facilitates the development of a program charter and integrated timeline. Accountable to ensure all tasks remain on schedule, that issues get escalated and resolved, and that the program is completed successfully. Facilitates regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects (project pipeline).

Supports organizational talent development through engaging functional and field subject matter experts and cross-functional team members on projects. Provides coaching and feedback to participants to help them grow in their careers, and to help CBRE grow our bench of world class talent.

Works closely with the account and corporate Finance and PMO departments to measure and report on savings delivery across the broader portfolio against set annual targets. Works closely with management to better understand the Voice of the Customer, customer needs, opportunities and timing of strategy implementation.

Attends key internal and external events to report on defined opportunities, provide status updates and amplify communications. Develops contacts and relationships that can support the savings plan and provide additional sources of advice to help drive savings and to promote best practices.

Responsible for reporting status of individual and groups of projects and programs. Must be able to provide appropriate levels of detail, as well as effectively summarize complex issues succinctly. Manages internal and external relationships in support of program; may contract and manage vendors. May provide consultation on complex large-scale projects.

Supports the drive for value, service improvement and change across the entire portfolio.

Supports, as necessary, change management routines in the adoption of savings strategies that drive a change within the historical delivery of services.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Approves subordinate’s recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.

Education Completed: Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)

Minimum of 10 years industry or related experience

Professional Experience In: Process Improvement, Project Management, or other related experience.

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports prepared by subordinates. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. Develops and implements financial policies and procedures. Approves and oversees department budget.

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.

Requires the ability to influence at all levels in the organization with frequent exposure to Sr./C-Suite organizational leaders. This position requires a strong executive presence and capability to maintain highly confidential information.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results. Responsible for setting project, department and/or division deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to line of business and/or overall company.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Director, PiMO position is $178,800 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Director, PiMO position is $298,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
