Position Summary

We are a highly strategic, data-driven team looking to grow our UX Design sqUAd with an exceptional user-insight driven talent! Our ideal Sr. UX Researcher is an ambitious self-starter with a passion and understanding of user behavior and UX best practices. Through gathering and analyzing data, developing insights, and presenting actionable recommendations based on those insights, this role will be a chief advocate for the user while establishing and expanding UX Research best practices and processes at Under Armour.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

+ Develop and innovate a mixed-methods UX Research practice

+ Establish the necessary frameworks, documentation, workflows, methodologies, communications and educational tools to evangelize the importance of UX Research on behalf of our user

+ Build, manage and refine a repository of research templates across our various tools to streamline operations and research practices

+ Partner with cross-functional teams (incl. Product, UX Design, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Engineering) to proactively identify, prioritize and lead our UX Research strategy and roadmaps

+ Formulate key research questions, the right mix of methodology and participant criteria to develop impactful insights

+ Conduct qualitative and quantitative research diligently and inventively across the entire digital ecosystem (Web and App) to proactively identify impactful opportunities for product development based on user needs

+ Regularly conduct discovery (user interviews, diary studies, surveys), tactical and evaluative research (useability studies, concept evaluations, benchmarking, heuristic evaluations) to identify pain points and ensure that the current experience is constantly evolving and improving

+ Autonomously define, plan and conduct evaluative and generative research that influences and drives our roadmaps and prioritization

+ Own cross-functional relationships for multiple web and app product areas as well as connect the dots across studies

+ Collaborate with Consumer Insights, Data, A/B Testing and VOC to tell an end-to-end qualitative and quantitative story about our users

+ Compile and present learnings to relevant partners and stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

+ Infuse UX Research at all stages of product development across multiple platforms (web, app, connected-devices and other emerging technologies)

+ Influence decisions by delivering findings in creative ways (oral, written, presentations, video highlights, infographics)

+ Lead workshops that enable teams and stakeholders to build clarity and alignment

+ Provide guidance and training across the organization to support the UX Research and Design Team

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

+ Fluent in a range of qualitative and quantitative useability techniques (Heuristic evaluation, task analysis, competitive benchmarking, interviewing, moderated and unmoderated useability testing, surveys, etc)

+ Experience running tests for Web and App based platforms

+ Capable of managing multiple studies simultaneously

+ Skilled storyteller and communicator

+ Strong presentation skills with an ability to compile and present learnings to relevant partners and stakeholders in an actionable way

+ Operate with attention to detail

+ Hands-on experience moderating and facilitating workshops (in-person and remote)

+ Deep knowledge of the Ecommerce space

+ Continually strive to exceed expectations

+ Experience with remote testing tools (UserTesting, UserZoom etc)

+ Autonomous self-starter

+ Passionate about user-centered design and research methodologies

+ Respond professionally to feedback

+ Passion for sports and fitness is a bonus!

Education And / Or Experience

+ 4+ Years of UX Research experience required

+ Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or Human Behavior (e.g. Sociology, Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction or related field)

Other Requirements

+ Software Experience: Remote testing tools (ie. UserTesting.com, UserZoom), Figma, Axure, and other industry standard prototyping tools

Salary and Relocation

+ No Relocation Provided

+ Base Compensation Range: $91,000 – $125,000
