Description:
The department of intercollegiate athletics is seeking an experienced Human Resource Associate to oversee all human resource matters for the department. This position will provide service to support for academic professionals, civil service staff, extra help employees, graduate assistants and student employees.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage and facilitate all aspects of searches and hiring activities for Academic Professional, Civil Service (including Extra Help), Graduate Assistants and student employees to ensure compliance with existing University Policy and Rules, and State Universities Civil Service Statute and Rules
Enter and approve HFRE transactions, timesheets, salary planner, pay adjustments, overcompensation requests, FMLA and SURS Disability requests.
Process employment changes including promotions, reclassifications, summer appointments and various types of leaves such as FMLA and disability.
Execute Webtime Entry for Pay Civil Service, Extra Help and student employees.
Update and maintain all leave reports.
Serve as campus phone book update contact for unit.
Process necessary paperwork for employment contracts for select staff
Serve as liaison to Search Committees to provide information related to searches (recruiting/interviewing resources and tools; notification about qualified candidates; status reports about a search's progress; and approvals of selected candidates); assessing recruitment venues and determining sources to post advertisements for vacancy announcements; posting positions and responding to applicant inquiries; scheduling and facilitating all search committee meetings and interviews; conducting reference checks; extending and negotiating offers; notifying applicants of search status; and processing HRFE...
