Job Description
Duties may include: Operate tractors, sprayers and spreaders for in field activities related to the production of corn, soybeans and wheat. Spray pesticides, spreading fertilizer, applying nitrogen. In addition, the ability to drive large trucks to transport material to the field would be expected once proper licenses are obtained. Operate and maintain single or tandem axle trucks, multi-axle configuration trucks. Safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks, tractors and other equipment, perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment, conduct pre-trip inspections such as checking fuel and oil levels, inspecting tires, lights and breaks. Schedule maintenance and repairs of vehicles and equipment as requested. Maintain service records of each piece of equipment and vehicle & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org).
