This Accountant II (Inventory Finance) position is responsible for the preparation of financial statements and management reports, maintaining accounting/financial systems, and conducting research and analysis of financial data and assisting with annual planning.

Responsibilities:

+ Prepares/maintains more complex management reports and/or management reporting applications. May be responsible for preparation and analysis of financial statements. May review management reports and workpapers prepared by others in department.

+ Assists with certain aspects of the annual planning process that may include preparation of forecasts/projections, utilizing and/or maintaining planning systems, assisting operating divisions with budgeting processes and preparation of budgets.

+ Communicates via routine internal correspondence to ensure complete understanding and interpretation of financial statements, management reports and special projects. May have responsibility for documenting and communicating policies and procedures to various groups.

+ May have responsibility for completing journal entries to the general ledger for the month-end closing process. Journal entries may be prepared using various automated methods including AJET and/or upload files from spreadsheets or other subsystems.

+ Responsible for monitoring activity and performing various general ledger and/or cash account reconciliations of varying degree of complexity and corresponding variance analysis.

+ Responsible for data collection, documentation and preparation of workpaper support for various assigned tasks.

+ Responsible for following internal controls, policies, and procedures when completing assigned duties.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

+ Two to four years related work experience

+ From entry-level to two years experience with an advanced degree or professional certification (CFM, CMA, CPA)

Preferred:

+ Professional certification (CFM, CMA, or CPA) or advanced degree

+ Demonstrated problem solving ability

+ Effective verbal and written communication skills

+ Knowledge of financial, accounting and technology systems.

+ Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical research and reports and apply information to specific business situations
