IDOL UI Engineer (Remote)

ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is seeking an experienced UI Engineer to be part of an established team supporting cloud platform solutions and management to our federal client in Washington, DC. Responsible for end-to-end software development and delivery of software features. Is responsible for coordinating resources and processes to deliver quality, value and ensure timely delivery. Utilizes optical character recognition (OCR) among other AI tools to automatically interpret and classify documents via unstructured data analysis.

The Team:The Tailored Platform Services Support (TPSS) team supports cloud platform systems that are critical to operations at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and its mission. The TPSS program provides support to both Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities as well as Development and Modernization (DM&E) efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

+ Work with clients, peers, and management in a highly visible, mission critical environment

+ Uses AI to enhance machine learning: machine read and machine search capabilities

+ Uses natural language processing, machine learning, OCR, and other AI-powered models to analyze text data

+ Develops functionality to automatically interpret and classify unstructured documents at scale

+ Automates image file processing and analysis, OCR, object detection, image classification, object recognition, and other unstructured data

+ Prepare technical documentation such as release notes

Required Skills:

+ A minimum of 8 years work experience

+ 1+ years of experience installing Microfocus IDOL Server

+ 1+ years of experience configuring IDOL

+ 1+ years of experience analyzing, designing, and coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

+ 1+years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for software enhancements and new products

+ 1+ years of experience of Java and Angular programming with experience in developing multi-threaded modules in Java, along with exposure to UI tech stack will be an added advantage

+ 1+ years of experience at a deep level using debugging tools, including runtime debugging of complex solutions

+ 1+years of experience understanding of web services (SOAP/Rest) and related languages such as HTML, CSS, JSON, XML

+ 1+ years of experience developing new product features using Typescript, Angular 10 and NGRX

+ 1+ years of familiarity with reactive programming techniques

+ 1+ years of knowledge of Angular best practices and commonly used modules

+ 1+ years of experience creating custom, general use modules and components which extend the elements and modules of core Angular

+ 1+ years of understanding of the responsibilities of the platform, database, API, caching layer, proxies, and other web services used in the system?

+ US Citizenship required (required by federal government for this position)

+ Must be able to obtain Public Trust security clearance.

+ MUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do apply.

Preferred Skills (not required):

+ Experience with UI tech stack will be an added advantage

+ knowledge of NGRX (or similar state management library) and RXJS (or similar reactive programming library) would be advantageous

+ Experience administering a large enterprise database environment.

+ Possesses a strong verbal and written communications skills as responsibilities include direct client interfacing and the development of documentation

Pay Range – There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is :

$82,673.00 – $170,058.00
