Job Description
Duties may include: Operate commercial sprayer or floater for the purpose of applying crop inputs to producer fields according to recommended rates and procedures, operate and maintain single or tandem axle truck and other equipment, follow all pesticide labels, record application data according to regulations and standards, set up material handling, blending, storage, transport, and application equipment for blending and delivery of products, blend products according to recommended rates and procedures, demonstrate knowledge of/and have the ability to safely operate sprayers, floaters, single or tandem axle trucks and other equipment to meet company and DOT standards. Perform and record daily safety checks of assigned vehicles and associated equipment, follow preventative maintenance program, load and unload containers, pallets, or materials and products, ensure products are evenly balanced and distributed on trucks/trailers, responsible for inventory control, assure all products are accounted for via invoice or delivery ticket, complete logbook, records of cargo, and other assigned record-keeping of product & other related Ag Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Possible weekend/holiday work. The Temporary Ag Equipment Operators will perform duties at the employer owned location and intermittently at producer fields within area of intended employment within a 50-mile radius of location.
