Job Description
Summary:
Sanzaru Games is looking for talented Level Designers. This should be someone who has a passion for designing, developing, and polishing game levels including level geometry, enemy encounters, puzzles, and moment to moment gameplay. Level designers works closely with the Art team, Leads, and Creative Directors to help ensure game levels have high polish, are creatively entertaining, and progression flow. We are interested in hiring an experienced level designer who is excited about VR and building immersive experiences.
Required Skills:
Level Designer – Sanzaru Games Responsibilities:
1. Design and establish concrete level plan from paper map to 3D block out
2. Level scripting and set up using script based languages like UE4 blueprint
3. Work alongside the Art Team to create the levels feel and overall composition
4. Manage all design related assets and data associated with each assigned level
5. Thoroughly understand level design pipeline from paper to final level
6. The ability to work within hardware limitations and how to design around limitations
7. Work directly with other artists, designers, and engineers to complete levels

8. 3+ years of experience designing levels for published games
9. Experience identifying issues for level design and flow and creative problem solving
10. Experience shifting focus and adapting easily to change
11. Proven communication skills and experience interact effectively
12. Proven hardcore gamer and daily gaming enthusiast

13. 2+ years of industry experience working in VR games
14. Experience with Unreal
15. Experience in 3D apps for blockout
16. Experience in narrative and storytelling
17. Adobe creative suite
Public Compensation:
$109,000/year to $153,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
