Backstop Solutions is seeking an experienced Revenue Operations Manager to act as a player coach on our Revenue Operations team. This individual should have strong technical acumen with data analytics tools, the ability to identify areas of opportunity within the business, and build innovative solutions to drive revenue. You will be expected to grow into the subject matter expert for Backstop’s revenue tracking and performance ecosystem.

This role will roll up to our VP of Revenue Operations with the option to work from our Chicago office or entirely remote.

Reporting and analysis

+ Review and improve our current revenue reporting standards across all stages of the revenue funnel

+ Leverage our reporting infrastructure to extract new insights on our most important customers and prospects.

+ Working with various department leads to understand their initiatives and KPIs. Identify gaps in KPIs and ensure proper analytics in place to monitor.

+ Guide commission and territory planning processes for sales and relationship management with analytical support

Data

+ Evaluate and improve our current revenue data and metrics ecosystem

+ Understanding system and data inconsistencies to help implement data enrichment processes

+ Mine large datasets, draw relevant insights and create visualizations to summarize findings

Technology

+ Assist revenue generating teams with frictionless scale using technology and optimal process

+ Evaluate the need to bring on new vendors, mange vendor evaluation process, negotiating vendor contracts, organizing subscription timelines, and implement enablement programs to ensure adoption

+ Further develop tech stack integrations in Hubspot/Outreach to serve Sales and Marketing

+ Underpin demand generation and engagement pieces of marketing through technology and optimized process

Leadership

+ Experience leading a team with diverse experience and skill sets.

+ Experience in assigning responsibilities, helping team prioritize various tasks, and holding team to tight timelines.

Required Experience:

+ 5-7+ years of experience with a strong background in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Marketing Analytics, and/or Business Analytics along with

+ 2+ years of leadership experience

+ You are passionate about the building phase, starting from a blank slate is exciting

+ Passion to identify and lead growth-enabling initiatives for rapidly scaling organizations

+ Strong examples of strategic leadership work in building infrastructure for high-performing SaaS revenue teams

+ Experience in executing project and change management

+ Advanced proficiency in Excel including advanced use of pivot tables

+ Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to solving business problems

+ Lead multiple work streams with ease by optimally and thoughtfully putting together project plans to adhere to deadlines

+ Demonstrated communication and presentation skills

+ Experience working with a business intelligence tool like Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.

+ High degree of drive and self-motivation and comfort working autonomously

+ Eagerness to work in a start-up team environment that will be rapidly changing and often presents ambiguous situations

+ Experience in the financial space is a bonus

+ Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. engineering, sciences, math, statistics, business, or economics)

+ Expertise in managing processes within HubSpot or similar CRMs
