DATA PRIVACY PROJECT MANAGER

The Data Privacy Project Manager will support the Data Privacy Officer in the development and management of the Chief Data Office. This role assists with the legal and operational risks around sensitive and critical information assets by assessing business operations on a continual basis as a part of managing, tracking, and reporting of projects and data privacy incidents as well as engage in the data privacy investigation and remediation process. They will also contribute to the development, training and ongoing maintenance of policies, standards and procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

+ Collaborate with Chief Data Office team members on roadmap planning and prioritization (i.e., capital budgeting)

+ Coordinate with Chief Data Office team members and key stakeholders to manage and track key milestones, risks and issues

+ Support in converting roadmap features into smaller stories/tasks to manage and track to closure

+ Develop and maintain reporting tools used in the distribution of reports to summarize status of key milestones, performance, risk and issues

+ Assist in the production of materials used by the Chief Data Office in stakeholder and leadership meetings

+ Assist in the development of clear and well-structured policies, standards, and procedures

+ Contribute to the development and introduction of business processes and recommended improvements

+ Assist in assessing, managing, and reporting data-driven risks and issues

+ Maintain the CDO Intranet Hub Page

+ Manage and process Data Use Requests for Privacy considerations.

+ Manage and process Chief Data Office Demand Management Requests

+ Coordinate and prioritize work streams between Technical Team and Data Team

+ Manage the preparation and coordination of planned meetings within and outside the office

Preferred

+ Very experienced with Jira to manage and prioritize team work

+ Use of SQL to perform data discovery and analysis

+ Assist in assessing, managing, and reporting privacy incidents

+ Serve as a secondary point of contact between the company and relevant data privacy authorities

+ Assist in the company data literacy education

+ Assist in the coordination and collection of relevant materials in complying with requests associated with regular Privacy audits or when requested by data privacy authorities

+ Ability to coordinate, collect and consolidate PowerPoint content for meetings

+ Effective planning, monitoring, managing, and reporting on key initiatives

Qualifications and Education Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in related field; advanced coursework/training related to project management, data governance, data privacy, computer science, and management information systems.

+ 5+ years’ experience in project management

+ 3+ years’ experience in banking/finance, developing and implementing data policy and standards, developing Data Privacy Programs, and working with Data Governance

+ Knowledge of OneTrust and Power BI

+ Knowledge of industry leading practices in Data Privacy

+ Demonstrated ability to understand data protection framework, data in motion, data at rest, and data in use

+ Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

+ Demonstrated ability to communicate and lead culture change initiatives

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

+ Enthusiasm

+ Team-building skills
