ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Payroll Accountant will own payroll and 401k administration for the firm, both domestically and internationally. This individual will act as a change agent to improve payroll financial reporting and analysis to support the company’s rapid growth. This role will also manage the employee cash and credit card expense reporting and billback process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Human Resources Responsibilities

+ Manage the payroll process, including data entry and bi-weekly payroll transmission utilizing the firm’s HRIS, Paylocity

+ Set up and maintain employee payroll data, including garnishments and benefits changes, as well as state payroll taxes

+ Monitor and coordinate responses to various payroll tax mailings

+ Lead the auditing and delivery of employee W-2’s

+ Provide daily employee support, including W4s

+ Oversee the firm’s time & labor system (including PTO audits) and incorporate into bi-weekly payroll transmission

+ Administer the firm’s 401k plan (with Principal), partnering with the 401K investment advisor

+ Manage the worker’s compensation and 401k audits (including compliance testing)

+ Coordinate with outsourced company to drive UK payroll activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy and proper reporting

+ Perform regular data audits to assess completeness and accuracy of records

+ Maintain current knowledge of payroll and taxation requirements for US and international markets

+ Prepare customized payroll reports from the firm’s HRIS (Paylocity) on an as-needed basis

Accounting Responsibilities

+ Prepare payroll allocations between corporate entities

+ Prepare payroll reconciliations

+ Manage credit card expense process, including statement reconciliation and proper recording of expenses in GL system

+ Manage employee expense process, including Concur (expense management system) administration, review of reports for accuracy and proper support, approval for payment and proper recording of expenses in GL system

+ Manage timely collection efforts for expenses billed back to affiliated and other unrelated entities

Other Responsibilities

+ Help identify and implement standardized best practices, technologies, and internal controls to help the company scale efficiently and mitigate risks

+ Review current and establish controls in connection with the Chief People Officer and Chief Accounting Officer

+ Perform any additional responsibilities that may be required to support the company’s rapid growth
