This Performance Specialist role can be filled at Mid-level or Senior level. Please see minimum qualifications list below for each level*************************************

Mid-level $77,400- $86,000

Senior-level $103,500 – $115,00.00

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Responsible for providing support to the OR group including management of a PI program or support of a department in the PI processes. Works under minimal supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Must have good grasp of the PI processes and a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the respective group. This person will interface with various levels of employees and management and be able to analyze data and recommend actions to improve performance. Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review. Works independently with broad supervisory review and actively imparts knowledge to others.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

+ Perform Support and oversight of PI Programs. Responsible for implementing performance improvement programs and providing support and oversight of those programs or Responsible for oversight of a department in regards to their Performance Improvement. Duties are broken down further in scope section. (45%)

+ Perform and provide oversight on trending analysis – Prepare site performance data and adverse trends using observations, CAP, self-assessment, benchmarking, OPEX, and performance indicator data. (25%)

+ Support CAP investigations and support IR reviews (15%)

+ Manage performance indicators and response to trends (5%)

+ Prepare MRM packages with department input and other packages for PI meetings (5%)

+ Innovation and projects – as assigned (5%)

JOB SCOPE

+ Works under minimal supervision, relying on knowledge, skills and judgment acquired through education and relevant experience to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals. Must have good grasp of the PI processes and a good understanding of the fundamental functions performed by the respective group. Works independently with broad supervisory review. This person will interface with various levels of employees and management and be able to analyze data and recommend actions to improve performance. Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independently with minimal supervisory review. Actively imparts knowledge to others.

+ PI Program Owners

+ Responsible for implementing performance improvement programs, which may include Correction Action Process (CAP), Self-Assessment, Benchmarking, Operating Experience, Safety Culture, NSRB and/or various INPO related activities. Perform implementation of individual Performance Improvement Program processes and any associated activities including the improvement of these tools. Continuously improve performance improvement program execution to increase efficiency and results of the program and ensure effective identification, screening, analysis, resolution, implementation and measurement of performance issues. Prepare site performance data and adverse trends using observations, CAP, self-assessment, benchmarking, OPEX, and performance indicator data.

+ Perform additional functions of related performance improvement program processes as necessary to support the site.

+ PI Specialists that support departments

+ Perform trending analysis for department(s) supported including crew scorecards and works with department managers to develop actions to improve performance. Participate in the IR review committee for the assigned department(s). Prepare MRM support materials for site department(s) and manage performance indicators and responses to performance/trends including crew/department clock reset communications.

+ Support investigations( maintain root cause qualifications) with department sponsorship and participation, prepare presentations with input from the departments, perform AR closure reviews, lead to maintain Performance Improvement documents with department support, manage SA/BM schedule and review draft plans and reports, identify potential actions including training based on trend or identified gaps, periodically attend department meeting to ensure alignment, support CAP/observation product report development for the departments by preparing daily/weekly reports as requested, perform indicator data entry except for those requiring specific technical knowledge, program support to the department for Operating Experience reporting/Passport/Industry indicators. In addition, if assigned to Engineering, will prepare monthly NSRB reports and Oracle reports as author, and support effectiveness reviews.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level E02 Performance Improvement Specialist

BS in Technical discipline with 2 years relevant experience Or High School Diploma with 6 years relevant experience Or Associates Degree with 4 years relevant experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Performance Improvement Specialist

BS in Technical discipline with 5 years relevant experience or High School Diploma with 9 years relevant experience or Associates Degree with 7 years relevant experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

+ Experience in PI/OR Programs

+ Previous SRO license/certification

+ Root Cause Qualified

+ Previously worked in at least one of the departments that you will be supporting.
