The Product Manager will report to the Global Engineering & Innovation Director. This position will be responsible for the development of ITW Medical’s universal product pipeline through the Customer Back Innovation process.
+ Identify areas of opportunity for ITW Medical within prioritized market segments that are a focus for the division.
+ Develop discovery interview guides, research plans and partner with cross functional teams to conduct customer interviews.
+ Attend customer meetings to support product development at customer locations.
+ Partner with Engineering & Innovation Director to identify innovative product concepts and present business cases for the prioritized opportunities.
+ Build product roadmaps for existing universal products and collaborate with the cross functional team to justify and deploy product line enhancements and extensions.
+ Create launch plans and quantified value proposition for product launches. Assist Sales team by building tools to sell our quantified value proposition.
+ Develop IP strategies for universal products and partner with legal counsel to deploy.
+ Build relationships with the ecosystem of suppliers, standards committees and customers to stay close to technological trends in the market, translate trends to product needs.
+ Ensure universal product compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
+ Leverage APQP stage gate process to ensure flawless project execution and facilitate seamless transition during Create/Develop stages.
+ Serve as divisional subject matter expert for market and pricing intelligence.
+ Suggest improvements to ITW Medical’s collateral, website, and other selling tools to improve early funnel prospecting.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering. MBA preferred but not required.
+ Progressive work experience in Engineering and/or Marketing functions especially as related to new product development and introduction.
+ Medical device manufacturing or similar industry (regulated) experience preferred.
+ Strong financial acumen and strategic thinking skills, including experience working with and presenting to Executive leadership.
+ Ability to thrive and collaborate in a decentralized and entrepreneurial culture.
