Responsibilities The Cyber Security Analyst works closely with the IT Security Manager to plan, implement, upgrade, or monitor security measures for the protection of the Sargent & Lundy’s computer networks and data. You will assess system vulnerabilities for security risks and propose and implement risk mitigation strategies. You will also assist in development and oversight in the implementation of information security applications, procedures, and policies. You will be part of the team to collaboratively monitor and respond to computer security breaches, viruses, and intrusions of the computer systems, including forensic investigation.

+ Monitor the network and systems for security breaches or intrusions, taking appropriate actions to mitigate issues

+ Implement software tools to assist in the detection, prevention, and analysis of security threats

+ Review and respond to client security assessments

+ Develop and maintain documentation of computer security and emergency measure policy, procedures, and tests, including response and recovery plans for security breaches

+ Perform risk assessments and execute tests of data processing system to ensure functioning of data processing activities and security measures

+ Supervise network penetration testing and take appropriate actions based on results

+ Review security assessments for computing environments and check for compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations

+ Train staff on and oversee the use of, information security standards, policies, and best practices, promoting security awareness to ensure the security of the systems

Qualifications We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position. Essential skills and experience:

+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or commensurable military experience

+ Five years of experience working with security applications

+ Two years of experience in an IT data security role for a Microsoft-oriented network

+ Two years of experience in project management

+ Previous middle-sized organization experience is required

+ Experience in IT security engineering and data analytics

+ Strong experience with network technologies such as switches, firewalls, wireless access points, etc.

+ Strong familiarity with security technologies, such antivirus, full disk encryption, SIEM, password managers, privilege access management, etc.

+ Strong familiarity with both on premise and cloud infrastructure technologies

+ Ability to problem-solve IT system issues and identify effective and cost-efficient solutions to IT challenges

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills across levels of leadership

+ Professional security management certifications or progress toward one would be advantageous
