Job Summary
Working as a Catering Director, you have the responsibility for Catering and Events. You will manage a team of staff, build client relations, along with ensuring the catering offered to our guests is of outstanding quality.
Schedule: 8:00am- Close
Rotating Weekends (When Needed)
Key Responsibilities:
+ Administrative and Conference Catering:
+ This position requires use of a radio.
+ MyStaff labor management.
+ Post Weekly Catering/Pantry/Houseman Schedule in MyStaff on Wednesdays before Noon and communicate the schedule with Office Manager and General Manager.
+ Includes: Scheduled breaks | 30min and 15mins.
+ Includes: temporary team member requests.
+ Lead catering pre-shift daily with Captains and Admin.
+ Ensure catering staff is compliant with uniforms and radios.
+ Ensure Side Work is being completed and signed off on.
+ Ensure all client emails are take care of in a timely manner, responsible for communicating in regards to client emails and pop-ups after 2:30 pm.
+ PM Admin can assist in communicating assignments over the radio.
+ Ensure all set-ups are correct and properly labeled with dietary restrictions, if any.
+ Assist team with lunch services and/or beverage set-ups.
+ Maintaining an organized schedule to report room checks in a timely manner to Catering Administration.
+ Receptions and Special Events:
+ Host the daily 1:00pm Operations Meeting with Culinary and Captain ( Cover Events 72 hours out)
+ Present completed pull list at Ops meeting at least 24 hours in advance. Adjust pull sheet to include liquor/rentals/special notes for each reception.
+ Ensure Event Packets are complete with Team Member Assignments, Consumption Sheets and BEO that includes matching signage.
+ Place all Binny’s and Hall’s orders for catering. | Maintain liquor inventory.
+ Order all Hall’s rentals for catering and arrange rental pick-ups.
+ Send Office Manager a copy of sign-up sheet to update end times for the day.
+ End of Day Report:
+ Final room checks before the end of the day. List rooms that are pre-set and need to be cleared.
+ EMS – Manage Service Updates- List service discrepancies and solutions.
+ Provide Consumption/Sign-up Sheets to Admin, Office Manager and GM post event
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree is required in Hospitality or Culinary Arts
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry including 2 years in management (preferably Catering Management) is required
+ Booking, selecting and costing menu items, pricing contracts, and resourcing temporary help and equipment experience is key
+ The ability to supervise food preparation, service, and cleanup is also essential
