Primary Function
TeamPeople is seeking a Technical Writer for a project with a well known multinational digital communications technology corporation. This role is remote, estimated about 30 hours per week for a duration of 10 weeks. The hourly pay is $25/per hour. This person will create about 100 feature page.
Duties & Responsibilities
+ Go through client’s certification course (about 5-6 hours) and take notes
+ Create a free demo account and explore each feature
+ Review manual knowledge base for all the how-to info about features, leverage this and convert into more “marketing” text
+ Look at our figma (cloud base design software) board for “approved” screenshot options from the product team
+ We will provide a list of key internal stakeholders who the writer would then schedule time with to go through 10 draft Features pages and get feedback (ex, we will probably have 10 internal stakeholders, each who give input on 10 pages)
+ For images, the writer would just be asked to ID any existing images (from figma, the help pages) or by taking basic screenshots from the product themselves or recommending (ex “image of a person taking a poll on their mobile phone while sitting in a keynote session”)
Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in drafting SaaS product/feature copy for the website who has a knack for punchy, clear, seo optimized headlines, short paragraphs that communicate what the thing does and why it is valuable.
+ A good eye for flow so that a visitor can scroll through the page and in 30-60 sec understand what the feature is and why it is awesome.
