Summary: The Housekeeping Worker performs a variety of cleaning tasks throughout the building. May be responsible for cleaning of resident’s apartments. Maintaining the cleanliness and attractiveness of the interior and common areas of the building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Cleans Apartment Homes on a Bi-weekly basis through the scheduling system.
- Keeps specified areas of the building clean in accordance with established housekeeping standards.
- Uses established cleaning procedures to clean assigned areas.
- Inspects equipment daily and reports any damage to Director.
- Reports all safety concerns or issues to Director or any Director immediately.
- Keeps designated storage areas stocked with necessary cleaning materials and supplies.
- Let’s the Director know when supplies are getting low.
- Rotates floor assignments as necessary.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Institutional housekeeping experience desirable.

Must have physical coordination, dexterity, agility and mobility and be able to safely and properly utilize and transport tools, supplies and equipment properly. The employee is required to stoop, kneel or crawl; and to climb stairs and ladders while balancing objects. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must have specific visual ability and acuity, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, as required to ensure safe, accurate, and timely performance of duties.
