This hourly (non-exempt) position is responsible for the daily processing all domestic and foreign incoming/outgoing wire transfers.

Must be able to satisfy on-site responsibilities in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Originate outgoing wire transfers, both domestic and international, for First American Bank (FAB) customers.

+ Utilize specialized software to input wire data, communicate with the Federal Reserve, execute the wire transfer, and purchase foreign currency, all within specified time frames.

+ Utilize special account software to view customer accounts and answer general account questions as well as questions pertaining to wire transfers.

+ Collect customer information, wire transfer details, and special requests via phone and Ca$hTrac (commercial online banking system).

+ Post or apply wire transactions to customer accounts.

+ Perform administrative tasks associated with the completing, distributing, and filing of wire transfers.

+ Utilize computer software applications daily, including spreadsheets, online account systems, and wire transfer systems to process incoming and outgoing wire transfers.

+ Review customer-originated outgoing wire transfers received via interfacing cash management software.

+ Responsible for user setups and profile maintenance within the wiring system and FAB’s Business Banking platform.

+ Cross-train in other areas of the Central Operations Department, as necessary.

+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ High School degree or equivalent required. Some college education a plus.

+ Minimum one year of customer service, banking experience, or bank operations experience required.

+ Must be able to work in a fast paced environment to meet Federal Reserve cut off times, while maintaining accuracy and providing an exceptional level of customer service.

+ Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.

+ Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailor the message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.

+ Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.

+ Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate to our environment and industry.

+ Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.

+ Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and using available resources to mitigate risks.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft O365 products and applications, including the ability to effectively prepare or review documents, procedures, and reports.

+ Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows as a result of system upgrades.

Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities required.

+ Typical scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm. Scheduled into two shifts. Saturdays may be required.

+ Punctuality is required to maintain First American Bank’s customer service standards.
