Primary Function

A tech company’s communications organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support editorial planning; communications, media, and content projects; metrics and analytics; and overall team operations. The work will span multiple teams across the org. A successful candidate will have strong project management experience, be detail-oriented, well-organized, adept in using project planning and communications software, and will have confidence and good communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a global communications or marketing organization in a large corporation.

This group creates fans through stories, content and experiences and architects this tech company’s editorial strategy, creates storytelling strategies and content, and operates content distribution channels for both internal and external audiences. They are a diverse, global, creative team operating primarily in the Pacific Time Zone.

Pay Range:

$80,000 – $110,000

Duties & Responsibilities

+ Organize and plan multiple, concurrent projects for the organization

+ Use software tools to create sharable project plans. Ensure project plans are kept up to date and leverage the tools/timelines to achieve project goals.

+ Partner with and influence members of the team to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. Identify and highlight any risks to project leads.

+ Document and track project budgets, as required.

+ Schedule meetings, manage and publish agendas, keep track of meeting discussions, decisions, and next steps.

+ Create and publish a monthly organization report, summarizing key metrics from across the org.

+ Communicate regularly and efficiently with organization and project leaders.

+ Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience leading meetings and influencing others

+ Demonstrated advanced communication skills, written, verbal and digital

+ Exceptional organizational and planning skills

+ Experience working with communications/marketing organizations is preferred though not required

+ Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed and participate fully as a member of the working team

+ Experience with project tools such as MS Teams, Sharepoint, formstack/forms, Excel, Powerpoint, and related project platforms

Education & Experience

+ 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, public relations, or marketing

+ 3 years’ experience implementing project plans in a global team environment, successfully driving projects to completion

+ Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or similar preferred

+ PMP or Google Project Management Certificate preferred
