Job Description

Maintenance Crew

The Maintenance Crew performs tasks related to maintenance and repair of Hope buildings providing housing, offices, and classroom space, as well as janitorial work and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time bargaining unit position.

 

Maintenance Crew Job Duties:

  • General maintenance of Hope grounds, drives and walkways, including weather related clean-up (i.e. mowing, raking, trash pick-up, snow removal , etc.).
  • General maintenance of Hope building exteriors (i.e. gutters, vents, fans, window repairs, etc.).
  • General maintenance of Hope building interiors (i.e. floor, tile, vinyl base trim, painting, vents, replacing lights, ceiling tiles, dry wall repair, plumbing and heating repair to the limits of an individual’s capability, etc.).
  • Other maintenance duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid IL driver’s license.
  • Previous documented experience in areas related to general maintenance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of certified training programs related to maintenance and/or janitorial services.
