AnthroMed Education is looking for a compassionate and ambitious School Social Worker who will provide support at one of our school partners in Algonquin, IL. This Social Worker will assist in directing the psychological and social well-being of Pre-K – 5th-grade students in one-on-one and group sessions.

School Social Worker Responsibilities:+ SSW will manage a General Education caseload of approximately 50-60 students.
+ Support in the Autism Program.
+ Assist in developing positive behavioral intervention strategies.
+ Provide crisis intervention strategies to improve students’ success.
+ Advocate for the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of each student.
+ Develop strategies to maximize coping skills for students in difficult situations.
+ Collaborate with teachers and IEP team to understand students’ struggles and/or distress.
+ Participate in IEP meetings and maintain records of assessments and progress monitoring.
+ Develop methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary.
+ SSW will receive a vast number of resources and support to aid in their daily practices.
School Social Worker Qualifications:+ Master’s Degree in School Social Work (MSW) is required.
+ Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement is required.
+ Previous experience in a school setting is encouraged.
+ Ability to work both individually as well as in a team-based environment with parents, teachers, students, and administrators.
