Health Care PURPOSE: The Clinical Supervisor will directly supervise, provide administrative and clinical supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring the childrens Board-Certified Behavior Analysists (BCBA), Behavioral Assistants (BCaBA), Behavior Therapists, Mental Health Therapists, and Recreation Therapists. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the training of the direct support staff, program leadership, to ensure effective implementation of the behavior support plans, skill-acquisition plans, and treatment plans. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical functions and implementation of the childrens residential continuum of care, including, but not limited to the intensive intervention program. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for adhering to professional and legal requirements and principles as well as demonstrating sound professional judgment and will ensure staff always adhere to all agency policies and procedures . ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential duties and responsibilities, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the task to be performed. + Provides direct administrative and clinical supervision, including hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring the childrens behavior team, mental health therapists, and recreation therapists.

+ Reviews pre-admission records, conducts pre-admission interviews and assessments of the individuals and makes recommendations to the team regarding agency and/or home admissions.

+ Collaborates with the School Clinical Coordinator for the implementation of integrated clinical services in school and group home environments.

+ Provides clinical leadership, oversight, and implementation of the childrens residential continuum of care.

+ Maintain communication between ChildBridge Center for Education, Parents, Case Managers, Home Managers, other LCF Departments, and ISSA Workers, for the purposes of interagency collaboration, individual program development, and coordination of care.

+ Supervises the behavior team who fully assesses the individuals on the assigned caseload annually, including analysis of the presenting behavior and its antecedents and consequences, and develops written behavior strategies based upon the individual needs.

+ Supervises the clinical team to proactively identify program youth behavioral trends and provides behavioral-based recommendations in adjusting interventions and implementation strategies as needed to address trends, including coordinating team members in strategy change discussions.

+ Monitors progress on at least a monthly basis and more frequently if needed to address issues with the individuals progress toward clients goals and objectives. If necessary, update written strategies to reflect progress or emerging needs.

+ Supervises the implementation of behavior plans, treatment plans, safety plans, etc. by training direct support staff, program leadership, and family (if necessary).

+ Spearheads due process of all plans prior to implementation including Behavior Support Committee Review, guardian approval and Human Rights Committee approval if required.

+ Supervises all recreational activities including, but not limited to, any community outing events.

+ Maintain a client service record to support services provided. Monitor the Behavior Teams and Mental Health Therapists monthly billing for individuals served and ensures team documentation is aligned with billable services.

+ Ensure that all intervention methodologies are evidence based and reflect the most recent research findings.

+ Lead and/or participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings for each individual assigned.

+ Advocate for each individual assigned during psychiatric evaluations and reviews by providing data towards the individuals behavioral and/or adaptive skills goals and objectives.

+ Provides agency-wide training during each New Employee Orientation (NEO) and as requested.

+ Provides on-call assistance for emergent behavioral issues which occur after hours.

+ Maintains Little City Foundations relationship with Northern Illinois University (NIU) for the purpose of higher-level consultation and preferred field site for its Master level Applied Behavior Analyst students.

+ Maintains American Heart Association certification in First Aid and CPR, if required.

+ Successfully completes Little City required training, re-training, and any additional training as required by Little City policies and practices, or as assigned by his or her immediate supervisor.

+ Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters degree in a human services field and licensed as or license eligible with an LCSW, LCPC, or a certified BCBA is required. Two years experience working with individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, or emotional and behavioral challenges required. Working in a residential or childrens psychiatric hospital setting is strongly preferred. Possess a proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations. Two years of supervisory experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Excellent time management skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to sitting, walking, and standing for prolonged periods; frequently grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working with persons served and handling office, medical, or household equipment. The employee is subject to assist and lift up to 50 pounds with varying amounts of assistance on a reoccurring basis. The employee is required to have corrected vision and hearing within normal range and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. Must have the ability to perform CPR and CPI. Occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious substances, including communicable diseases when performing personal care (Category III). Occasional exposure to cleaning agents and disinfectants. Residential work environment with a noise level of normal to loud.
