Job Description
PURPOSE AND PERFORMANCE GOALS
Maintenance of all equipment and physical structures in compliance with facility standards, local, state and national codes and regulations to protect the asset, guests and employees, to ensure optimum operations, minimize expenses, and maximize guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Performs maintenance of boilers, pumps, refrigeration, mechanical and electrical equipment as well any and all items requiring repair through a scheduled maintenance program.
- Works with outside contractors as needed.
- Assists with training and acting as a resource for Engineer Trainees.
- Assists other departments or individuals as required.
- Maintains accurate records of various logs and meter readings.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Attends staff meetings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. At least 1-2 years of maintenance experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors and fellow employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction division and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to analyze data to make appropriate judgments regarding maintenance duties.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certificates or equivalent in electrical, heating/air conditioning, HVAC-R, carpentry, plumbing, refrigerant recovery/handling preferred. C.F.C. Certificate preferred. Valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Practice written safety standards and rules at all times.

HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the Resort provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
