Position Summary

This individual will lead Leica Biosystems’ global website channel and digital marketing activities. This position is responsible for the strategic direction of the Website, Website demand generation activities, and managing the SEO initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, energetic, and has experience working with Web Content management systems (e.g. Drupal) and digital marketing tools.

Major Responsibilities

The Website is a strategically important channel for Leica Biosystems’s Digital Marketing efforts. It is responsible for more than $30M in revenue generated globally. This role is expected to manage the high-growth Web channel, lead the SEO activities to drive greater traffic, and utilize CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) activities to generate more leads and revenue.

Website Management & Organic Search Strategy

+ Build and execute effective search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to increase qualified traffic for a global website.

+ Provide strategic thinking and implement CRO tactics to generate a higher number of leads from existing website traffic

+ Provide data-driven recommendations and digital consulting to Regional marketing teams on the most effective methods of generating leads via the web and digital campaigns

+ Plan and promote content to attract, engage, and influence our buying audience at various stages in the marketing funnel

+ Review technical SEO issues and direct changes along with other team members to improve site architecture and page content

Website Ownership & Analytics

This role will oversee the website. As the accountable owner, this role will work with the Digital Solutions team to drive the website roadmap including feature enhancements and customer experience (UX) improvements. This role also plays a key role in collaborating with the Web content maintenance team to ensure that the content is managed in accordance with the appropriate regulatory guidelines.

+ Partner with Global Marketing & Regional marketing teams to consult and guide organic search channel strategy

+ Own the product roadmap and lead the sprint planning process with the Digital Solutions and external agency teams

+ Collaborate with the PPC team to deliver a synchronized search strategy.

+ Research and maintain best practices that improve the online customer experience.

+ Further our data-driven culture by creating and analyzing KPI metrics to improve web traffic

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required. An advanced degree is preferred.


+ Progressive experience in digital marketing for a dynamic startup or high-growth, Global organization

+ Significant experience managing Web SEO initiatives or Website growth initiatives

+ Demonstrated market growth by driving traffic & leads from web & SEO (Search Engine Optimization) activities

+ Expertise in key digital marketing topics: SEO, SEM, CRO, A/B testing, content management systems

+ Experience with the following is a plus: GA Certification, using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, etc, working in an Agile environment, email Marketing experience, Marketing Automation tools, CRM integration
