OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
The EEJ expert is a senior staff member who will manage a specific task through broad management skills, and specialized functional and technical expertise to guide project teams in delivering client solutions and/or to manage the day-to-day deliverables. The Task Manager monitors quality across multiple projects. This individual establishes and maintains technical and financial reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organizes and assigns responsibilities to subordinates, and oversees the assigned tasks.
REQUIRMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of related experience or a master’s degree plus 8 years of related experience.
+ Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
+ Clean Energy experience desired but not required.
+ Remote position on eastern time zone.
+ Experience in DOE environment is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.? Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting.? Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.?
