OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES & COMPETENCIES
Primary services and tasks may include, but are not limited to, assisting federal staff with:
Administrative Services *
Provide liaison support for domestic and foreign travel, visits, and assignments, including arrangements for briefings and de-briefings with intelligence officials, as required.
Develop policy, guides, and job aids in various areas of administration such as travel.
Facilitate authorization support for DOE buildings, sites and arrangements for conferences and meetings on behalf of senior officials.
Support the management of corporate procurements and support service contracts.
On-going distribution, tracking, logistics and special handling services for mail, packages, and objects.
Manage and coordinate the flow of controlled correspondence/ Freedom of Information Act requests, records management, facility requests, construction, property inventory, and security activities.
Develop, maintain, retain, and distribute up to date program-wide documents such as master Policies and Procedures Manuals, associated procedural practices and guidance, and other formal documents.
Participate in the development of surveys related to OMD functions.
Program and Project Support
The analysis of management operations and development of options for process improvements, procedure development and project controls.
The development and finalization of presentations and documentation to support internal activities such as project meeting content, meeting notes, standing meetings, agendas, etc.
Data collection and maintenance for use in tracking the progress and performance of programs.
REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s Degree required
+ 15+ years of experience in the field or in a related area; or 12+ years experience with a Master’s Degree
+ Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.
+ DOE experience preferred.
+ Clean Energy experience desired but not required.
+ Remote position on eastern time zone.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.? Work is mostly sedentary in nature but will require periodic standing and walking and lifting.? Must have good vision and be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.?
