Description

The .NET Engineer III will participate in all aspects of application development and design including performance, scaling, coding, caching, security, error logging, and unit testing across claims platforms. This person works with analysts and business users as needed to gain an understanding of the requirements, defines, and documents a data model and application architecture, and implements a solution with the assistance of team developers.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Development on medium to large complex customer technology platforms or architectures.

+ Maintains active relationships with internal and/or external stakeholder to develop business requirements.

+ Assist in analysis, development, and maintenance of the BizTalk eco-system

+ Demonstrates knowledge of industry trends, our products and infrastructure.

+ Working independently and collaboratively with various teams and global stakeholders (Business Analysts/ Architects/ Support/ Business)

+ Directs interaction with engineering and operations on product development

+ Supports senior developers, team lead, architects, and project staff to deliver high level or certified (detailed) estimates.

+ Assists technical analyst in translating user testing and customer support feedback into technical requirements.

+ Analyzes and evaluates detailed business and technical requirements.

+ Understands the product and analytics and drive requirements that consider stakeholders needs.

+ Supports new initiatives and/or recommendations for platform scalability, availability, upgrade, and re-use

+ Codes and maintains complex components of information systems.

+ Instill respect for code reviews, necessary code quality, maintainable design, and useful tests.

+ Reviews test cases and advises QA on adjacent code/regression impact.

+ Develops and performs system testing and fixes defects identified during testing and re-executes unit tests to validate results.

+ Promotes and implements the overall policies and goals for a product development department

+ Provides on call support and monitors the system and identifies system deficiencies.

+ Creating high- and low-level designs

+ Creating database queries (SQL), stored procedures; supports SQL object development & performance tuning

Qualifications

+ Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study

+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience on one platform, multi database, multi-language or multi business application;

+ Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills

+ Experience mentoring others, leading small projects, and providing troubleshooting support is strongly preferred.

+ Experience in .NET/C#/Web Services/IIS

+ Hands on development experience in building secure web services in a SOA platform using C#, WCF, ASP.NET; experience in programming with systems design, development and maintenance of Web, databases, and middleware technology platforms in SOA

+ Expertise designing and building high performant/scalable web applications, secure web services using C#/.NET Core, WCF, Web API, REST, SQL, Entity Framework, Node JS.

+ Experience working within the Agile Development methodology

+ Understanding of OO principals, SDLC, SOA, Microservices, integration, data serialization, asynchronous and threading patterns, remote debugging

+ 3 years of experience of working on SQL/SSIS

+ Demonstrated ability to create fault tolerant, scalable, and extensible solutions

+ Experience with Micro Services, Docker, etc.

+ Experience in healthcare claims transaction processing

+ Knowledge on development and maintenance of BizTalk and associated Web and Rest API implementations highly preferred

+ Good verbal & written communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and organizations highly preferred
