On September 14, 2022, Danaher announced its intention to separate its Environmental & Applied Solutions segment to create an independent, publicly traded company. The new company will be called Veralto and will be comprised of an outstanding collection of market-leading brands in Danaher’s Environmental and Applied Solutions segment: Hach, ChemTreat, Trojan, OTT HydroMet, and McCrometer from Danaher’s Water Quality Platform and Videojet, Esko, X-Rite Pantone and Linx from the Product Identification Platform. The Veralto segment generated revenue of approximately $4.8 billion in 2022 and has a global team of approximately 16,000 associates.

Position Summary

As the Director of Global Sourcing, Electrical you will drive competitive advantage by defining and deploying strategies for cost reduction, quality, and delivery across the corporation’s >$350M in spend across electronics, key technologies, OEM and semiconductor spend categories. The position will be responsible for leadership and spend performance across platforms, regions, and operating companies. You will provide indirect management supervision of operating companies’ category leaders that will result in cost reduction, cost avoidance, risk management and service/quality improvement to Veralto operating companies. Activities include gathering and analyzing spend and price data, identifying opportunities for consolidated negotiations based on operating company data, evaluating and selecting preferred suppliers, negotiating and implementing price agreements, managing and improving supplier performance, leading workshops and Kaizens, training acquisition associates on Veralto sourcing tools & processes; and, analyzing, reporting, and monitoring project savings against policy deployment goals. You would also be responsible for supporting integration projects associated with new acquisitions.

This position will be located at Veraltos’ corporate headquarters in Waltham, MA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Use Danaher Business System tools and processes to drive continuous improvements in quality, delivery, cost, inventory, cash, and risk reduction. Furthermore, drive strategic and tactical solutions by providing decision support data/materials (market data, financial analysis) with a vision of total cost management.

+ Lead integration of new acquisitions, incorporating global and regional commodity strategies with company procurement leaders. Train acquisition associates on sourcing tools, best practices, and standard processes

+ Lead funnel creation events, deliver cross-business savings and drive/monitor business-specific savings projects. Prepare and execute corporate-wide bid packages utilizing RFIs, RFPs, and reverse auctions while evaluating marketplace trends and providing price and budget guidance to operating companies for targeted spend categories

+ Lead the selection of preferred suppliers in targeted spend categories and manage their performance to ensure they consistently meet operating companies’ requirements. Increase the spend with P&Q and drive global contract agreements. In addition, establish supplier performance data requirements and report monthly performance data to users in operating companies while developing supplier relationships and contracts leveraging Veralto volume and growth.

+ Continuous improvement mentality to analyze, translate, determine root causes, develop action plans, and implement plan of action as necessary with strong analytical, negotiation and presentation skills required. Your ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, influence, and persuade internal and external stakeholders.

Your Experience

+ Undergraduate degree in relevant area such as supply chain, business management, operations, or finance with 10-15+ years of leadership experience delivering year-over-year improvements in respective spend categories

+ Ability to work independently and with comfortably in ambiguous situations, knowing how to resolve conflicts and having a proven track record of achieving results.

+ Demonstrated effectiveness in communicating concepts and recommendations and gaining acceptance and commitment across organizational and functional lines. Experience managing direct and indirect reports in a decentralized and highly matrixed environment.

+ Strong proficiency in use of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI and other analytical tools.

+ Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to executive teams.

Travel

+ Approximately 30% travel is required
