Job Description

1. Architect development environments – 25% a. Utilize source control tools such as Git/Github or SVN/Subversion in a continuous integration/continuous delivery, agile software delivery environment b. Full stack development with PHP and NodeJS c. Application development HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript libraries such as Vue.js, requireJS, angularJS

2. Support highly scalable cloud infrastructure and microservices architecture – 20% a. Architect solutions by developing and integrating RESTful services b. Integrate with security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and openID c. Implement deployment pipelines d. Provide technical guidance and mentoring

3. Provide process improvement analysis – 15% a. Work with campus units to take existing paper-based workflows and convert to automated, application-driven processes b. Apply continuous improvement models to current and newly developed applications

4. Collaborate and coordinate with stakeholders – 15% a. Meet with campus units to gather project requirements and provide frequent status updates b. Communicate with and participate in cross-campus initiatives on deployment and development changes and best practices

5. Perform development and configuration tasks for campus specific applications, including integration of database connectivity (ODBC) to campus units for student system information (data, relationships, Banner, Warehouse) and third party use of Banner, EDW, and related systems. Assist with Institutional Reporting (census, enrollment management data, etc) – 15%

6. Research, test and provide recommendations for emerging technologies – 5%

7. Perform other duties as assigned – 5%
