We currently have an excellent opportunity for a highly-skilled and motivated Logistics Specialist in one of the largest growing logistics company in the Schaumburg area. One of our Fortune 500 clients is seeking a Logistics Specialist to join their dynamic, fast-growing team! In this role, you will support the operations departments in a variety of computer based duties. You should have the ability to communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers via the phone as well as virtual communication. Major responsibilities
- Follow-up with carriers.
- Abide by guidelines for approving carriers.
- Transmit and synchronize with inventory and sales management; warehouse; logistics for service changes.
- Perform various administrative duties.
- Watch, trace, and help dispatch & progress of orders on time and to meet delivery requirements.
- Fast typing is a must (High accuracy of at least 65 words per minute)
- Excel (VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables)
RequirementsRequirements
- 0-1 years’ experience with shipping/logistics or related
- Foundational knowledge in pricing
- Strong familiarity with order entry
- Command of Microsoft Excel (not using a mouse in excel is a major bonus)
- This job requires experience in purchasing, inventory control, transportation and warehousing functions
- Customer service oriented communication skills
- Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
- Multi-tasking and detailed oriented skills are a must.
