Responsibilities Sargent & Lundy’s hydraulic & hydrology (H&H) group is looking for a Hydrologist to support power plant design projects. Under the guidance of the team lead, you will work in a project team environment with other engineers involved in executing H&H deliverables in support of the licensing, design, modification, and analysis of power plant sites. Qualifications Essential skills and experience:

+ Must be either a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident that can meet the requirements for export controls.

+ BSc in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in hydrology from an ABET Engineering Accreditation,

+ 5 or more years of experience in hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis,

+ Coastal engineering experience focusing on storm surge analysis,

+ Experience in analyzing large data sets

+ Experience in the nuclear industry with conducting analyses and making NRC submittals

+ Proficiency with the following design/analysis tools: HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), GIS tools, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD

+ Ability to work in a team environment

Valued but not required skills and experience:

+ MSCE or PHD in Civil Engineering with emphasis on hydrologic and hydraulic analyses

+ Experienced in flood evaluations for streams and rivers, local intense precipitation, probable maximum flood (PMF), dam failure, probable maximum precipitation (PMP)

+ Experienced in performing probable maximum hurricane, probable maximum storm surge, probable maximum tsunami

+ Experience in performing extreme value analysis

+ Proficiency with the following design/analysis tools: FLO-2D, Delft3D, ADCIRC, MathCAD,

+ Proficiency in programming with one or more of the following codes: Python, R, Fortran, VB
