Job Description
Responsible for designing, writing, and implementing data retrieval scripts to query Tenable.io, Attack Surface Management tools, Cloud security tooling, and Passive vulnerability scan services. Evaluate and expand agent-based vulnerability scan deployments, coordinate infrastructure teams and assist in Ansible and Automation script development and troubleshooting. Validate agent-based scan performance and evaluate any potential impacts to host machines through analysis of telemetry data. Evaluate, design, and build out exception handling and scan profile modifications. Assist in investigations of potential negative impacts of vulnerability scans on a case-by-case basis. Employ experience in coding in programming languages such as Python to implement automations in a growing environment through the use of modern deployment technologies (i.e. Azure Pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker) and documentation and testing of automations. Coordinate and build centralized mechanism to consolidate, harmonize, and standardize vulnerability data across multiple tools (attack surface, cloud, etc.). Troubleshoot automations and python scripts outside of the vulnerability management. Coordinate and assist with SOAR tool workflow designs as they relate to vulnerability and attack surface management. Assist team members in deploying and expanding database technologies that house attack surface data warehouse by utilizing NoSQL databases. Perform Proof of Concepts for multiple technologies and contributing to a data-driven, objective, evaluations and validate vulnerability scan coverage. 100% telecommuting permitted.
Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or a highly related field of study required with at least four (4) years of related experience in the following: (i) designing, writing, and implementing data retrieval scripts to query Tenable.io, Attack Surface Management tools, Cloud security tooling, and Passive vulnerability scan services; (ii) Evaluating and expanding agent-based vulnerability scan deployments, coordinating infrastructure teams and assisting in Ansible and Automation script development and troubleshooting; (iii) coding in programming languages such as Python to implement automations in a growing environment through the use of modern deployment technologies (i.e. Azure Pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker); and (iv) deploying and expanding database technologies that house attack surface data warehouse by utilizing NoSQL databases. 100% telecommuting permitted.
