Position Overview
The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Mental Health Technician III for the Kiley Developmental Center located in Waukegan, Illinois to provide physical support with personal care services to individuals in a living or work area on an assigned unit on an assigned shift. Conducts individual and group programs. Verifies individual safety and protection through monitoring and supervision. Teaches and directs individuals in the maintenance of a clean, safe and secure environment. Serves in an advanced worker capacity providing assistance to lower-level staff on complex problems.
Job Responsibilities- Provides physical support with personal care services to individuals in a living or work area on an assigned unit on an assigned shift.
- Conducts individual and group programs.
- Verifies individual safety and protection through monitoring and supervision.
- Teaches and directs individuals in the maintenance of a clean, safe and secure environment.
- Attends and completes scheduled training as by Department of Human Services (DHS), the center and the programmatic unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
