We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Supervisor, Financial Planning and Analysis within our Toxicology organization located at Lake Forest, IL. In this role, you will have divisional level reporting, planning and analysis responsibility for all actuals and forecast cycles. This opportunity with Abbott’s Rapid Diagnostics Division (RDx) Toxicology finance team is for a results driven and well-organized individual with strong analytical, communication, and financial systems skills. This role reports to the Finance Manager, FP&A, who is responsible for executive level deliverables and strategy planning cycles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Support and consolidate the Toxicology OMC P&L. Prepare management reporting schedules; analysis of P&L trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks (comparisons to Plan, LBE, and Prior Year); identify key drivers as part of variance analytics.

+ Liase between Division HQ, the Toxicology Finance Areas, as well as commercial excellence, operations, R&D and commercial.

+ Support HQ Function Budget :

+ Prepare and control HQ Budget by function (Admin, QA, RA, Ops, Marketing, Commercial Excellence and Finance)

+ LBE and other benchmark reviews with the different stakeholders.

+ Identify opportunities and highlight risks associated with the achievement of targets and metrics

+ Support R&D Area :

+ Centralize R&D support in HQ, currently entities run the projects separately

+ Budget analysis by project, prepare management reporting schedules; analysis of P&L trends and comparisons vs. benchmarks (comparisons to Plan, LBE, and Prior Year)

+ NPV and ROI evaluation of different Projects (i.e., Panda, Sefria, etc

+ Power On Champion:

+ Be point of contact for Power On (P&L and S&M cubes) related questions within Tox finance areas

+ LBE and different benchmark tie outs

+ HQ and POCT System responsible

+ Direct submission SME\

+ Support Gross Margin Initiatives : Work with Ops and other stakeholders to create sustained cost improvements

+ Profitability Analysis: Analytics emphasizing on high margin Skus, Customers

+ Support the Toxicology LBE Process , including the development of region LBE templates, P&L consolidation, uploading forecasts in planning system, and completing all Division finance templates with valid commentary and explanations of significant variances.

+ Perform ad-hoc analyses based on needs of Finance leadership and RDx management, evaluate overall business unit performance and items such as new initiatives and cost savings opportunities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance, Business, or Economics.

• Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced work environment with frequent deadlines; ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.

• Previous experience working with large amounts of data and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
